Genetic Immunization Aimed at Metastatic Disease

Combined induction of tumor-specific cytolytic T lymphocytes and natural killer cells provides genetic immunization against metastatic colon cancer, according to Mt. Sinai School of Medicine researchers.

"The efficacy of combination therapy with immunomodulatory genes to treat metastatic colon carcinoma in the liver was investigated," said Savio L.C. Woo, reporting at the conference Gene Therapy: The Next Millennium, held in Keystone, Colorado.
