Immediate Response to Skin Test is Good Predictor of Anaphylaxis

Researchers in France determined that immediate response to skin tests is a good predictor of an anaphylactic reaction to pneumococcal vaccine in children.

"Pneumococcal vaccines are usually well-tolerated," reported C. Ponvert and colleagues from several institutions in France. "Anaphylactic reactions to these vaccines are exceedingly rare and have never been studied."
