Radioimmunotherapy with 131-I-3F8 Monoclonal Antibody Reaches Phase I Trial

Researchers in the United States presented promising preliminary results from a Phase I clinical trial of a radioimmunotherapy (RIT) procedure against GD2-positive leptomeningeal (LM) cancers using the monoclonal antibody (MAb) 131-I-3F8.

"Primary brain tumors and cancers metastatic to the LM are often incurable with conventional treatments," reported Kim Kramer and colleagues from the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, New York. "Antibody-based targeted therapy may have clinical potential."
