The ministry will spend 2 billion won (US$1.54 million) on vaccines from the United States and Russia, enough to inoculate 10,000 soldiers, the official said on the condition of anonymity. The South Korean military currently has no anthrax vaccine in stock for its 650,000 soldiers, he said.
