IgG fusion protein BAFF-R-Fc may be better at antagonizing BAFF than BCMA-Fc

BAFF-R-Fc may be far better than BCMA-Fc as treatment for lupus erythematosus and rheumatoid arthritis patients with elevated BAFF.

According to a study from the United States, "BAFF is considered a therapeutic target because dysregulated production of BAFF can induce systemic lupus erythematosus-like phenotype in mice, and elevated levels of BAFF are associated with disease severity in systemic lupus erythematosus and rheumatoid arthritis patients.
