Vaccination for neurotropic disease recommended in children with brain tumors

Researchers recommend immunization against vaccine-preventable potentially neurotropic diseases in children treated for malignant brain tumors with HIT-91 chemo- and radiotherapy.

According to published research from Austria, "Following surgery, chemotherapy and/or irradiation, patients with malignant brain tumors are at risk of neurotropic diseases, although these are partly vaccine-preventable.
