Biopharmaceutical company announces 32% revenue increase for second quarter 2004

Novavax, Inc., (NASDAQ:NVAX) announced its financial results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2004. Total revenues for the second quarter rose 32% to $3.0 million compared to second quarter 2003 revenues of $2.3 million. Revenues for the second quarter included $2.7 million of product sales compared to $2.0 million in the prior year period, a $0.7 million or 36% increase. The increase in product sales was primarily due to the commercial launch of ESTRASORB, with initial orders to wholesalers generating sales of $1.5 million in June.
