Pemetrexed (ALIMTA) is a novel multitargeted antineoplastic agent. "Pemetrexed (ALIMTA, LY231514, MTA) is a novel antimetabolite that inhibits at least three enzymes involved in the folate pathway. These enzymes are thymidylate synthase, dihydrofolate reductase, and glycinamide ribornucleotide formyltransferase.
