PSS World Medical, Inc., (NASDAQ/NM:PSSI) commented on recent developments in the supply and distribution of influenza vaccine.

The company's Physician Business is currently distributing limited amounts of influenza vaccine to its customers for their higher risk patients. Aventis Pastuer (Aventis) has supplied the company with the limited quantity of influenza vaccine, which is being distributed according to plans it has set with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Aventis. The company continues to maintain contractual access to influenza vaccine, which is expected to be produced in the future.
