APl2-MALT1 fusion protein implicated in t(11;18)(Q21;q21) MALT lymphoma

APl2-MALT1 fusion protein might be involved in t(11;18)(Q21;q21) mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) lymphoma.

According to published research from Japan, "At least three distinct chromosomal translocations, t(11;18)(q21;q21), t(1;14)(p22;q32) and t(14;18)(q32;q21) involving the API2 (also known as c-IAP2)-MALT1 fusion protein, BCL10, and MALT1, respectively, have been implicated in the molecular pathogenesis of MALT lymphoma."
