Biopharmaceuticals company announces research collaboration with Biogen Idec

Rincon Pharmaceuticals, Inc. announced a collaborative research project with Biogen Idec, Inc. (BIIB) to evaluate Rincon's eukaryotic algae production platform for therapeutic non-glycosylated proteins.

Rincon has demonstrated the utility of algae as a system for the expression and assembly of complex mammalian proteins, including monoclonal antibodies.
