Reports from the United States and Germany highlight recent research on Alzheimer disease.

Study 1: Autoantibodies to redox-modified oligomeric A-beta are attenuated in the plasma of Alzheimer disease patients.

According to a study from the United States, "Accumulation of A-beta protein in beta-amyloid deposits is a hallmark event in Alzheimer disease (AD). Recent findings suggest anti-A-beta autoantibodies may have a role in AD pathology.
