Reporter gene expression in dendritic cells examined

Scientists describe reporter gene expression in dendritic cells after gene gun administration of plasmid DNA in a recent issue of Vaccine.

"Dendritic cells (DC) play an integral role in plasmid DNA vaccination. However, the interaction between plasmid DNA and DC in vivo is incompletely understood. In this report, we utilize the sheep pseudo-afferent cannulation model to examine the interaction between plasmid DNA encoding enhanced green fluorescent protein (pEGFP) and afferent lymph DC (ALDC) in the United Kingdom report.
