Researchers publish new studies and findings in the area of tuberculosis diagnosis

New findings from Switzerland, Italy and the United Kingdom describe advances in tuberculosis diagnosis.

Study 1: A new T-cell-based test shows better correlation with tuberculosis exposure compared to the tuberculin skin test.

Scientists in Switzerland conducted a study "to compare the results of the tuberculin skin test (TST) and the new T-cell-based test for tuberculosis infection (T-SPOT.TB) in subjects exposed to a case of smear-positive pulmonary TB (PTB)."
