Gene-based vaccination produces immune responses against PSMA
May 10th, 2006
According to recent research from the United States published in the journal Cancer Gene Therapy, gene-based vaccination produces immune responses against prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA). "Two plasmid DNA vaccines, encoding either products that are retained in the cytosol and degraded in the proteasome (tVacs; hPSMAt), or secreted proteins (sVacs; hPSMAs) were evaluated for stimulation of cytotoxic cell or antibody responses," wrote M. Mincheff and colleagues, George Washington University.
