Findings from the United States advance knowledge in HIV/AIDS research

Reports from the United States highlight recent research in HIV/AIDS.

Study 1: Prophylactic immunization with DNA and recombinant adenoviral vaccine vectors expressing Gag attenuated simian immunodeficiency virus SIVmac239 infection.

Scientists writing in the Journal of Virology report, "The prophylactic efficacy of DNA and replication-incompetent adenovirus serotype 5 (Ad5) vaccine vectors expressing simian immunodeficiency virus (SIV) Gag was examined in rhesus macaques using an SlVmac239 challenge."
