Recent studies from the People's Republic of China, Cuba and Spain add new data to hepatitis C virus research

Investigators in the People's Republic of China, Cuba and Spain have published new hepatitis C virus data.

Study 1: According to research from the People's Republic of China, hepatitis C virus (HCV) DNA vaccine potency is enhanced by Mycobacterium tuberculosis heat shock protein 70 (HSP70) gene fragment.

"DNA vaccine represents an attractive approach to therapy of chronic HBV infection because of its ability to generate antigen-specific immunity; nevertheless, there is still a need to increase the potency of DNA vaccine," wrote X.M. Li and colleagues, University of Science & Technology of China.
