Research from University of Strathclyde, Institute of Pharmacy broadens understanding of immunology

New investigation results, 'Immunological control of congenital toxoplasmosis in the murine model,' are detailed in a study published in Immunology Letters. "Toxoplasmosis is a serious disease in humans where it can cause abortion or congenital infection if a women is exposed to disease for the first time during pregnancy. Infection prior to pregnancy normally results in immunity and which is capable of protecting the foetus," scientists writing in the journal Immunology Letters report.
