According to recent research from Bochum, Germany, "We evaluated the suitability of the Friend Virus (FV) model for the development of improved adenovirus vectors for anti-retrovirat vaccination using two types of adenovirus vectors, encoding F-MuLV Env and Gag, which differed only in their fiber genes (Ad5 and Ad5F35). Genetically FV-resistant C57BL/6 mice and highly susceptible CB6F1 hybrid mice were vaccinated by either homologous or heterologous prime-boost regimen."
