Adults Need Protection Against Vaccine-Preventable Diseases, Too

To make clinicians aware of the importance of complete and timely vaccination for their adult patients, The Journal of Family Practice has published a supplement to the April 2008 issue, Update on vaccine-preventable diseases: Are adults in your community adequately protected'

Based on a recently released update of the adult immunization schedule from The Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices, the supplement is authored by William Schaffner, MD, Professor and Chair of the Department of Preventive Medicine at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine....
