Research reports from Kyushu University, Department of Parasitology provide new insights into vaccines

Current study results from the report, 'Critical contribution of immunoproteasomes in the induction of protective immunity against Trypanosoma cruzi in mice vaccinated with a plasmid encoding a CTL epitope fused to green fluorescence protein,' have been published. According to recent research published in the journal Microbes and Infection, "Acquired immunity against infection with Trypanosoma cruzi is dependent on CD8(+)T cells.
