New DNA vaccines study findings have been published by scientists at Autonomous University

"Immunization of BALB/c mice with a DNA vaccine encoding the nucleosomal histones from Leishmania infantum resulted in a complete failure of protection against visceral leishmaniosis (VL), whereas the adoptive transfer of bone marrow-derived dendritic cells pulsed with the same pathoantigens plays an essential role in controlling parasite growth in half of the cases," scientists in Madrid, Spain report.
