"Secretory immunoglobulin A (SIgA), although generated at mucosal surfaces, is also found in low concentrations in the circulation. Recently, SIgA was demonstrated in mesangial deposits of patients with immunoglobulin A nephropathy (IgAN), suggesting a role in the pathogenesis," scientists in Netherlands report.
