Data detailed in 'Prevalence of HPV genotypes determined by PCR and DNA sequencing in cervical specimens from French women with or without abnormalities' have been presented. "Epidemiological data on human papillomavirus (HPV) are needed to estimate potential changes in type distribution induced by recent HPV vaccination strategies. AND DESIGN: The epidemiological distribution of HPV in 669 cervical specimens from French women with and without cytological abnormalities was evaluated using type-specific PCR or sequencing," scientists writing in the Journal of Clinical Virology report.
