Eculizumab, a recombinant, humanized, monoclonal, immunoglobulin G antibody produced from murine myeloma cells, is the first agent to be approved for labeling by the Food and Drug Administration for the treatment of paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria (PNH)," scientists in the United States report.
