Data detailed in 'Cellular immunotherapy for multiple myeloma' have been presented. According to recent research published in the journal Bailliere's Best Practice and Research In Clinical Haematology, "Multiple myeloma is a life-threatening haematological malignancy for which standard therapy is inadequate. Autologous stem cell transplantation results in effective cytoreduction, but patients subsequently relapse from sites of chemotherapy-resistant disease."
