Fresh data on yellow fever are presented in the report 'An outbreak of yellow fever with concurrent chikungunya virus transmission in South Kordofan, Sudan, 2005.' According to recent research published in the journal Transactions of the Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene, "From September through December 2005, an outbreak of hemorrhagic fever occurred in South Kordofan, Sudan.
