New immunization study findings reported from University of Milan, Department of Public Health

Fresh data on immunization are presented in the report 'The global impact of vaccination against hepatitis B: a historical overview.' According to recent research published in the journal Vaccine, "Hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection is a world wide public health problem of major concern. HBV infection may lead to chronic liver disease, including cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC)."
