Investigators at University of Melbourne, Department of Paediatrics publish new data on tuberculosis vaccines

Fresh data on tuberculosis are presented in the report 'To BCG or not to BCG' Preventing travel-associated tuberculosis in children.' According to a study from Australia, "With the rise in travel to countries with a high prevalence of tuberculosis (TB), the risk of travel-associated TB is of increasing concern. However, the use of Bacille Calmette-Guérin (BCG) vaccine for the prevention of travel-associated TB is a neglected area."
