New Respiratory Syncytial Viruses Research from University of Pittsburgh Outlined

2011 MAY 25 -- A report, "Pharmacologic advances in the treatment and prevention of respiratory syncytial virus," is newly published data in Clinical Infectious Diseases. "Currently, only 2 drugs have been approved for the treatment of respiratory syncytial virus (RSV). Palivizumab is a monoclonal antibody for the prevention of RSV in high-risk children," investigators in Pittsburgh, United States report.
