Study Results from M. Fotin-Mleczek and Colleagues Broaden Understanding of Vaccines

2011 JUL 13 -- New investigation results, "Messenger RNA-based vaccines with dual activity induce balanced TLR-7 dependent adaptive immune responses and provide antitumor activity," are detailed in a study published in Journal of Immunotherapy. According to the authors of a study from Tubingen, Germany, "Direct vaccination with messenger RNA (mRNA) molecules encoding tumor-associated antigens is a novel and promising approach in cancer immunotherapy.
