New Hepatitis B Virus Study Findings Reported from State Key Laboratory of Virology

2012 FEB 15 -- Fresh data on hepatitis B virus are presented in the report "Inhibition of the replication of hepatitis B virus in vitro by pu-erh tea extracts." According to the authors of recent research from Wuhan, People's Republic of China, "Hepatitis B virus (HBV) is one of the most widespread viral infections in the world and poses a significant global public health problem. The implementation of effective vaccination programs has resulted in a significant decrease in the incidence of acute hepatitis B."
