New Findings in Viral Vaccines Described from UNAM

2012 MAR 7 -- Current study results from the report, "Methods suitable for high-throughput screening of siRNAs and other chemical compounds with the potential to inhibit rotavirus replication," have been published. "Rotaviruses are an important cause of severe gastroenteritis in children under two years of age. Two vaccines have become recently available, however, there are no specific pharmacological interventions of rotavirus disease," investigators in Cuernavaca, Mexico report.
