Research from National Cancer Institute Has Provided New Information about Papillomavirus Vaccines

2012 MAR 28 -- New research, "The papillomavirus virion: a machine built to hide molecular Achilles' heels," is the subject of a report. "Papillomaviruses are a diverse group of DNA viruses that infect the skin and mucosal tissues of vertebrates. More than 100 distinct human papillomavirus (HPV) genotypes have so far been identified," investigators in Bethesda, Maryland report.
