New Data from S.A. Zaki et al Illuminate Research in Typhoid Fever

2012 APR 18 -- According to the authors of recent research from Maharashtra, India, "Multidrug-resistant typhoid fever (MDRTF) is defined as typhoid fever caused by Salmonella enterica serovar Typhi strains (S. Typhi), which are resistant to the first-line recommended drugs for treatment such as chloramphenicol, ampicillin and trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole."
