Reports from Semmelweis University Advance Knowledge in Pneumococcal Disease

2012 MAY 9 -- Fresh data on Pneumococcal Disease are presented in the report "The remaining challenges of pneumococcal disease in adults. 'Pneumococcal disease can be divided into invasive disease, i.e. when bacteria are detected in normally sterile body fluids, and noninvasive disease. Pneumococcal disease occurs more frequently in younger children and older adults," researchers in Budapest, Hungary report.
