The vectors represent the first success for stimulating glomeruloid growth in an animal model, researchers at Harvard's Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center report in the March 2001 publication of American Journal of Pathology.
"Glomeruloid bodies are a defining histological feature of glioblastoma multiforme and some other tumors and vascular malformations. Little is known about their pathogenesis," Christian Sundberg and colleagues said.
