Study 1: An inactivated influenza vaccine was not effective in children younger than 2 years of age in Japan.
According to recent research from Japan, "This study was carried out to investigate the effectiveness of influenza vaccine among 2,913 children (1,512 vaccinees and 1,401 nonvaccinees) under six years of age during the 2002-2003 season.
