Research findings, "Association of interleukin-18 gene polymorphism (-607A/A genotype) with susceptibility to chronic hepatitis B virus infection," are discussed in a new report. "Polymorphisms in the gene promoter can lead to different levels of cytokine expression and let some individuals have unique immune responses.
