For ureteral injuries, laparoscopic ureteroneocystostomy proves effective

Laparoscopic ureteroneocystostomy is an effective minimally invasive modality for treatment of gynecologic distal ureteral injuries. In a paper published in the journal Urology, physicians in India described their "initial experience with laparoscopic ureteroneocystostomy in patients with traumatic disruption of the distal ureter owing to gynecologic procedures."
