Research findings from Sungkyunkwan University, Department of Internal Medicine update understanding of abdominal pain

Data detailed in "Factors affecting abdominal pain during colonoscopy" have been presented. "The actual degree of pain or discomfort experienced during colonoscopy varies between patients. This prospective study was conducted to determine what variables, apart from the endoscopist's skill, are associated with a patient's discomfort during this procedure," investigators in Seoul, Korea report.
