A New Book on Sexual Medicine Calls Attention to 'The Couple' and Presents State-of-the Art Treatments for Sexual Dysfunction

The Guidebook of Sexual Medicine was just released focusing on restoring "the couple" as the main unit for treatment of sexual dysfunction. This book also puts significant emphasis on the thorough evaluation of biological factors (e.g., medical, hormonal, or effects of prescribed medications) and psychosocial factors (e.g., presence of depression, relational conflicts, or employment problems) before administering biological treatments such as the new oral agents, or psychosocial ones such as sex therapy.
