Treasurer McCord Assists PA Women Entrepreneurs' Advance During National Economic Recovery

As part of his commitment to strengthen Pennsylvania's economy and invest in its future, Treasurer Rob McCord announced that Treasury will host a series of events across the Commonwealth to help women entrepreneurs find business opportunities in our nation's new economy. The first event in the series will take place in Scranton on August 13, 2009.

"Nationally, women-owned firms employ nearly 13 million people and generate $1.9 trillion in sales - and yet they only received 3.4 percent of federal contracts in 2006," Treasurer McCord said.
