Radiation Alone versus Radiation and Chemotherapy for Unresectable Vulvar Cancer

According to an abstract submitted by the authors to the 80th Scientific Assembly and Annual Meeting of the Radiological Society of North America, held November 27 - December 2, 1994, in Chicago, Illinois, "Purpose: The optimal treatment for unresectable locally advanced vulvar cancer remains undefined, with chemotherapy (CT) often added to radiation therapy (RT) in an effort to enhance response, but with possible added toxicity. This review was undertaken to compare the outcomes of patients initially treated with RT alone with those of patients treated with combined RT and CT.
