The Women's Implant Information Network (WIIN), Irvine, California, applauded the recent decision by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) that will allow silicone envelope, saline-filled (described as silicone saline) breast implants to stay on the U.S. market pending Pre-Market Approval applications (PMAs), which are to be submitted in 1998.
