Wittkowski of Germany's Eberhard-Karls-University, claims that new evidence suggesting that nonoxynol-9 (N9) is as effective as condoms in preventing the spread of AIDS has been kept from women worldwide ("The Potential of Nonoxynol-9 for the Prevention of HIV Infection Reconsidered," AIDS, March 1995;9(3):310-311).
