Estrogen Replacement Therapy: Benefits and Risks

The following was supplied by the public relations department at Wyeth-Ayerst Laboratories, a supplier of hormone replacement products, in response to new data recently published on estrogen replacement therapy.

Additional data from a previously reported study examining the possible relationship between Estrogen Replacement Therapy (ERT) and breast cancer risk were published in the June 15, 1995, issue of the New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM).

The Nurses' Health Study, was last published in 1992, and is one of several observational studies evaluating the benefits and risks of ERT.
