Oral Immunization Considered Effective with Recombinant Product

Induction of sperm-specific antibodies in the reproductive tract following oral administration of a recombinant Salmonella could lead to the development of a simple, safe, efficient, and easy-to-use contraceptive vaccine. Several gamete-specific antigens that are involved in sperm-egg interaction have been identified, including the sperm-specific antigen SP10.
