Trial Results Support Use of CEA-Scan in Cancer Patients

Immunomedics Inc., Morris Plains, New Jersey, announced that results of a multicenter Phase I/II trial suggest the safety and diagnostic utility of the company's imaging agent, CEA-Scan, for the detection of cancerous lesions in patients with primary breast cancer. The study's aim was to assess the performance of CEA-Scan as part of the initial clinical workup of breast cancer patients. The trial's results were presented at the annual meeting of the European Association of Nuclear Medicine, held in Brussels, Belgium.
