Researchers at the University of Wisconsin Comprehensive Cancer Center (UWCCC), Madison, impressed by the substance's performance in laboratory studies, have secured federal approval to launch the world's first study of the drug's activity in cancer patients, reported Dr. Howard Bailey, of the University of Wisconsin (UW) Medical School.
